We have developed software for macOS/iOS before though, so we kind of know what to expect. Resonic is self-financed and back-breaking work, and we simply cannot afford licensing a suitable cross-platform toolkit like (commercial) QT, and buying all the required Apple hardware needed for development. While we believe that Resonic for macOS would greatly improve professional workflows on that platform, especially in the film editing and sound departments, we don't see a native version happening anytime soon without a strong partner or financial help on our side.

Resonic is one big endeavor, and to be honest a macOS version fully depends on the success of Resonic Pro for Windows, or other means of funding. So far, we don't have the financial means. Why do I get jittery animations in Resonic? Why won't my ASUS soundcard work (stuttering sound)? What should I use? DirectSound, WASAPI, or ASIO? What's degrating sound quality in Resonic? Why are Resonic's track durations different than in other applications? Why do popups/mouse wheel behaving strangely? Why can't I Drag & Drop to/from other applications? Will you support languages other than English? ,This installation package could not be opened.'' Is there a way to always Scan subfolders on click without ALT? When I buy the Pro, what's the plan for updates? Will my Pro license still work when I get a new PC?ĭoes Resonic require a constant internet connection?

Here's an update on my quest for bit-perfect audio using the ALC880 onboard sound.I use a desktop and a laptop PC. Originally Posted by xAragornx /forum/post/0 Hopefully someone else has had the same issue and found the solution.

Like I said I had it working at one point but it reverted back to PCM when I rebooted. I'm so close, I just need to find the "magic" setting that makes it work.

I have gone thru the speaker configuration setup and set the output to SPDIF. Changing the volume in MCE doesn't change the volume of the SPDIF output. I think that maxing out all the volume levels made it work but I'm still verifying that.Īs far as MCE, it seems like it is configured properly. I'm trying to back track to find out what setting made it work.

Unfortunately, I can't exactly point to what driver settings got the bit perfect audio to work in WMP. I have tried many different settings in the realtek driver and have double and triple check that the nVidia decoder is set to SPDIF. Now I am not able to get DTS or Dolby coming out of media center again no matter what I try in terms of settings. I did at one point have the lights coming up when playing the files in media center but everything went back to PCM audio when I rebooted the system. I have the DTS or Dolby digital light coming up on my receiver when I play movies in WMP but no such luck when playing back the same files in media center. I'm very close to having my setup working. Here's an update on my quest for bit-perfect audio using the ALC880 onboard sound. Although theAUTOLOCK seems to be working, it always says "Unlocked" and the selected bit-rate does not change on the display.Ĭurrent codec is Nvidia purevideo. wav files with a particular codec?Īnother strange symptom, although surround is working, the surround sound demos do not work within the Realtec Audio Manager. Is there something I have to do to associate. I can play the video and music files in both MCE and XP.īasically, DVD's and video clips work fine with surround, but audio clips from don't. I don't have any DTS to try, but I suspect it will work also if it's on a DVD or video clip. The appropriate indicator: Dolby Digital or Linear PCM lights on my surround sound receiver.

DVD's with DD are played properly as are WMV 1080P clips from Microsoft, MP3's and standard CD's. I tried the files from the above link (both dd and dts) and get nothing but noise. Otherwise, I say this solution for bit-perfect with WMP 10 only works with some systems. if I change the transit settting to passthrough or if I use another sound device. My external reciever does have built-in DTS decoders, I can play movies with DTS soundtracks no problem. I can play regular CDs or WMA lossless, but not DTS cds.

Setting in Transit are 24-bit 8000 Hz to 48000 Hz. I can play regular audio through the Transit, but not any test tracks of DTS tracks. I have closed and restarted media player. I have enabled the device in Media Player.

installed per M-audo directions (drivers first, then reboot, then conntect USB device). I have recently purchased M-Audio Transit. Anyone using M-Audio Transit device successfully to playback DTS Cd's via Windows Media Player 10, chime in: I cannot.
